What is the HunLine?

As a consortium partner of the Szécheni István University in Győr, working together with other consortium partner institutions the College of Dunaújváros managed to win approximately one and a half billion forints in a tender to establish the Hungarian Online University, which was financed by the European Union and the Hungarian state. The purpose of the project was the development and operation of differentiated, complex higher educational services in the institutions meeting the requirements of the 21st century and the formation of such high-level cooperation, through which the partners participating in the collaboration become competitive, modern, service-providing institutions. The project lasted from April 2013. to June 2015.

• the Universitas – Győr Szolgáltató Nonprofit Kft.

The Hungarian Online University aims to form sectorial information system cooperation to bring the new types of e-learning-based study programs into country-wide and international use.

The students of the higher educational institutions participating in the framework of the project can join in the courses online, and can reach the ready-made e-study materials. As a part of the project to improve the international competitiveness and for organisational development purpose further project elements have been made real beyond the establishment of the HUNline university. Besides study material development itself they include the setting up of a new information frame system and the education of the participants in the study material development.

”The Hungarian Online University offers courses in the study programs of technical management, vehicle engineering and teacher of engineering in English and German languages.This is not a classical university, the student will have a student relationship with the institutions taking part in the project, but at the same time they are attendees of the online university, as well. By the use of the new information frame system, new study materials, new methods we would like to gain more new students in our country and abroad, as well. Contrary to books the great advantage of the electronic education and study materials is that an unlimited amount of photos and videos can be attached. Those people who study besides working can join online anytime, and for this reason it does not make any loss of working-hours for the companies and the costs can be reduced, too.” declared the project leader.

On the address www.hunline.hu the online university will be available and will accept visitors from September 2015.
